Helping People
Reclaim Their Lives

- HOME -

The Dunes House has been serving Northwest Indiana since 1972. It is a Half Way House for men suffering from the relentless grip of addiction. We have ten beds, and admittance is on a first come, first serve basis. The residents are re-introduced to the responsibilities of life through structure, accountability and positive reinforcement.

The Dunes House Education and Resident Committees meet weekly with the residents to help them in their new journey to realize and achieve new perspectives and become the person they can be. The Entertainment Committee puts together various social functions that bring the recovering community together.

The foundation and uniqueness of the Dunes House is that it is home for over 50% of the AA meetings in Michigan City. The Residents become immersed in this Safe Haven, and share in the fellowship of the Dunes House, while being introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and able to take advantage of Narcotics Anonymous meetings on site.
